One of the more common and effective ways to relieve arthritis pain is taking hot baths, mainly before bedtime as arthritis pain is usually at its worst during periods of inactivity or when sleeping. You can ease joint pain by taking the usual hot bath with only water, or adding your favorite bubble soap, or even Epsom salts. Mud or eucalyptus leaves are added by some folks. The key is remaining inside the tub immersed in hot water for a half hour, easing the muscles.
