How can I fight the ‘freshman 15′?

By Oscar

Dear Expert:
I am a busy, 19-year-old college student. I have gained the “freshman 15″ and need a realistic way to get rid of it. I started going to the recreation center, but the cold weather makes it more difficult. I have recently changed my eating habits for the better, but dorm food is pretty fattening. What are some exercises that I could do in my room that would help trim my hips, legs and waist?

Achieving virtual professionalism

By Oscar

When Fitness Management was still in the concept stage, we envisioned it as “the magazine for professionals in adult physical fitness.” We saw the need for professionalism in the industry, and knew a few good examples of it. Marketing

By Oscar

In marketing the incentive games, fitness centers should advertise more than the promise of good health. The games should also be marketed as fun, enjoyable and a chance to meet new people, much like exercise should! Good programming addresses these issues and gives the members the opportunity to choose from different options. For example, if your organization offers a highly competitive game to attract social, competitive people, then you should also consider concurrently running another program for those interested in self-achievement or activities they can do alone.

By Oscar

Scuba equipment is also used by professional and technical groups of divers. In other words, they are not constrained by the recreational scuba diving criteria listed above.

Professional diving is done for military, governmental, commercial or scientific purposes. Accordingly, professional divers are paid to dive and have specific missions for each dive they conduct, which could include search and recovery, exploration for oil, mapping ancient wrecks or examination of new species of fish.

The End of Summer??? Bring on the cold! Dump some snow!

By Oscar

My snow skis were calling me the other day. Actually, they fell out from behind the water ski and landed me a blow to the forehead as I was heading out on the lake to play. It’s a winter wake up call!
